“Let the children come to me,
And do not hinder them.
For to such belongs the
Kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 19:14)
– Infant Baptism is celebrated on the
Second Sunday of each month at 1:30 pm
To prepare for your child’s Baptism, contact the Parish Office at (908-688-1232) to speak with Deacon Michael Cavallo or one of the priests.
Parents and sponsors are expected to attend a Baptism preparation class prior to the scheduled baptism.
Baptism Classes are held on the Friday evening prior to the 2nd Sunday of each month at 7:30 pm in the Convent Chapel.
Sponsors are spiritual witnesses for your child. There may be two sponsors, one male and one female. They must be at least 16 years old and have received the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Eucharist. They must have a letter of eligibility from their parish. You may choose to have only one Catholic sponsor and have the other be a Christian witness. A Christian witness is a baptized person who belongs to a Non-Catholic Christian denomination who must have a letter from his or her Church saying they are baptized, practicing members of that Church.
